Malfroy's Gold is family owned and operated. The family have been keeping bees commercially for over 35 years, 
and endeavor to maintain natural and sustainable beekeeping practices. Malfroy’s Gold award winning honey is naturally organic, and free of any chemicals or additives. They produce and pack honey from their own beehives and guarantee it is of premium quality, judged by its taste, colour, aroma, density, and purity of variety.

As migratory beekeepers, they move their beehives around the state, locating the best honey flow for the bees. This is a necessary practice for beekeepers in Australia, where an incredible abundance of nectar in one area may be followed by many years of little or no nectar.

In this sense, Australian beekeepers have to be innately attuned to the geography and seasonal conditions of each region and the numerous flowering patterns of Australia's diverse flora. 

The honey is naturally clean, there is no need for excessive filtering as the honey is simply left to settle, and then bottled. They do not overheat the honey in the process, it remains completely natural straight from the hive.

The man featured on our label is the late Camille Malfroy (1839-97), a distinguished thermal engineer, 
gold miner, politician and inventor. In the early 1850's, Camille, with his brother and father, travelled from France to Australia and New Zealand to search for gold. Today the Malfroy family searches for a sweeter form of gold....nature's gold....honey!
