Kahawa Estate coffee plantation is located in the Byron Bay hinterland on the far north coast of New South Wales, Australia.

 

They are truly a single estate coffee. At Kahawa Estate, they are in total control of our product – growing, harvesting, processing, roasting and packaging their own coffee. As a result they are uniquely placed to ensure the premium quality and integrity of Kahawa Estate coffee.

 

They use environmentally friendly farming practices and our coffee is pesticide free. The estate is situated on fertile, red volcanic soils, the sub-tropical location provides an ideal environment in which coffee thrives producing an aromatic, well rounded coffee with low acidity and no bitterness.

 

Though relatively newcomers to the industry, they have recently won awards at the Sydney Royal and Hobart Fine Food Shows. Kahawa Estate's award-winning Australian grown coffee is available in two styles:

 

KAHAWA LAVA: lighter roast enhances the natural sweetness and subtleties of the flavour profile of their parchment beans. They suggest Kahawa LAVA for use in a plunger, drip filter or percolator.

 

KAHAWA MAGMA: This medium-dark roast highlights the complexities and unique flavour profile that result from blending our sun-dried ‘raisin-style’ coffee beans with their parchment beans.  They suggest Kahawa MAGMA for making espresso coffee in your espresso machine or your stove top espresso.
