As a proud member of SOPA (The Scottish Organic Producers Association) they adhere to their strict guidelines for organic chocolate production.
Why Edinburgh? Rebecca Knights-Kerswell is from Sydney, then went to Europe to study chocolatiering. Rebecca opened her first chocolate kitchen and retail store in the UK to be close to Europe to continue to be inspired by all that European chocolate had to offer. But the desire to come home was too strong and Rebecca now is the creative director for the kitchens, developing all of the Coco Chocolate recipes but very happily serving her Sydney customers in store at Kirribilli and Mosman.
The Chocolate Society, of which Rebecca Knights-Kerswell owner of Coco Chocolate is a member, aims to alert the populace to the cocoa content in bars. Mass produced chocolate squeezes out the expensive cocoa and cocoa butter in favour of cheaper sugar, vegetable fat & powdered milk.
Coco Chocolate is made by our artisan chocolatiers in Australia & Scotland using the finest ingredients. They hand temper the chocolate on marble slabs and create a range of stunning chocolates with fruits, spices and peppers. They are advocates of organic farming, ethical trading and non GM ingredients.
